I have never decorated my home for fall before. Living in Miami doesn’t make it obvious… we pretty much have warm or summer-like weather all year long. But this year, I wanted to end that trend and dive into seasonal home decor. I am fascinated by it! My son is old enough to enjoy it and we have been having fun buying pumpkins and making easy DIY wall decor project like this.
What you need:
Colored yarn – I used assorted fall colors
Pom pom trim ribbon – I used two (red and mustard yellow)
Natural tree stick – I used one I found by the trees in my parking lot
Hot glue gun
What to do:
1. Measure the Yarn
First, decide how many stripes of colors you would like your hanging to have. Place the stick on a flat surface, and start measuring the yarn from the top of the stick to the desired length. Double the length of the yarn and cut, repeating the process as needed until there are enough pieces to spread across the dowel with the different colors and strings.
2. Lay in the Desired Pattern
3. Loop Yarn around the Stick
4. Trim and Shape (if needed)
5. Final Touch
